PLAY BASED LEARNING

Play-based learning is described in the Early Years Learning Framework as ‘a context for learning through which children organise and make sense of their social worlds, as they actively engage with people, objects and representations’ (EYLF, 2009, p. 46)

All of our high quality programs are best practice based on current research and are planned by our experienced and qualified early childhood staff.

We know that children’s play allows them to explore, identify, negotiate, take risks and create meaning. Literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills are embedded in the play-based experiences.

Our learning environments are rich with opportunity supporting children in:

  • Growing independence, decision making and using initiative
  • self-regulation, self-help skills and independence
  • curiosity and creativity
  • developing problem solving skills
  • developing connection, friendship and relationships.
